My name is Shivansh Joshi, currently pursuing BTech from the Graphic Era University, Dehradun. I was a part of Wingify as an SDE intern for a period of 6 months. In these uncertain times( post covid ) when a lot of layoffs are being done in the major companies. Wingify stood true to its commitment of granting me the internship. It was such a great journey with a lot of learning and exposure.
It was my third year when I was searching for an internship opportunity. Somehow, I got to know about the Relevel platform, and after clearing the test. I got an interview call from Wingify.
I still remember that day, when I was quite nervous during the interview, but the interviewer told me to calm down and gave me the confidence to grab this opportunity. It went well and I waited for the results. On the same day, in evening, I got a call that I got selected for the internship + PPO offer at Wingify and had to join by next week!
As Wingify is now a remote organization, my onboarding was virtual but it wasn’t impersonal, I was warmly welcomed by all and I was so happy to see all this.
Talking about my work, I was a part of the Backend team working on the development of the VWO platform. Initially, the work seemed very daunting to me, as I had little knowledge of the tech stack on which the team is working. I had a basic knowledge of Backend at that time. It was such an amazing learning experience for me. Also, I would like to take a moment and thanks the team for making this journey possible. A big thank to my mentor Gautam Verma for everything, from showing faith in me and supporting me all the time during this journey. A big shout out to my co-intern Apoorv Jain, who guided me during this internship. I would like to be connected with the team in future.
Although I never met you people but I’ve seen you guys bond over the virtual meetups, events, standups, and many more. I really appreciate the fact that even in such a challenging times, Wingify stood for its employees, initiated virtual fun activities and get the best out of the Wingifighters. I would be happy to work with this team in the coming future. I wish all the success and luck to everyone and hope to visit Wingify office someday.
